Wedding Wednesday – Honeymoon Agenda

Hey babes! This week for #WeddingWednesday I’m continuing my honeymoon post from last week and sharing everything we did in Hawaii! I’ll keep it short and sweet for those of you who might be traveling to Hawaii after this quarantine is over!

KAUAI

We started our honeymoon in Kauai for FIVE days! We both hadn’t ever been to this island before and we were both so excited! However, I will say, I don’t think I would ever revisit this island. We had a ton of fun don’t get me wrong, but we weren’t in the most populated area, which meant there weren’t very many options for food. I’ll break down what we did below…

Where we stayed:

Kauai Marriott Beach Resort – So beautiful! If you’re going to stay in Lanai, I highly suggest staying here!

What we did:

Couples Massage – We did this at our resort and it was AMAZING. I highly suggest doing this wherever you stay. It’s a great way to relax from the stress of the wedding planning.

Holo Holo Charter Sunset Boat Cruise – This was so much fun, for Jesse… I got super seasick and didn’t have once ounce of fun during this four hour excursion, but if you love the waves, definitely book this! Food + drinks were included!

Waimea Lookout – Like the Grand Canyon of Kauai. Super pretty, the views were amazing, plus the drive up the mountain is so peaceful.

Tubing with Backcountry Adventures – We loved this excursion. Basically you ride a tube through the sugar cane irrigation canals that are deep in the mountain. The water was freezing, but we had so much fun!

MAUI

After five days in Kauai we headed to Maui to finish off the rest of our honeymoon! We stayed on the island for seven days and it was HEAVEN.

Where we stayed:

Grand Wailea Resort – Truly a dream come true. Look it up and book your stay, you can thank me later. When we weren’t doing an excursion, we spent all of our time at our resort… eating, drinking poolside and playing in the ocean. We had the best time!

What we did:

Sunrise Bike Ride with Bike Maui – HOLY WOW! This was insane. We woke up at 2:00AM on our first day in Maui to do this excursion. The company shuttles you up to the top of the mountain and we were able to watch the sunrise that morning. It was beautiful to say at the least. After that, we rode mountain bikes down the mountain which was scary, but so fun. You’re able to stop wherever you’d like along the way. We stopped for doughnuts and then finished our ride around 10:00AM.

Old Lahaina Luau – This was abut 45 minutes from our reosrt, but in my opinion it’s the best luau on the island. We had so much fun!

Road to Hana – Something I think everyone should do when they visit Maui. It’s definitely an all day trip, about 10-12 hours depending on where you stop along the way, but you’ll see things along the drive that you can’t see anywhere else on the island. Truly so beautiful, can’t recommend this enough.

I seriously wish we could do a vacation like our honeymoon every year, we had so much fun together. Every single excursion we did was so worth it and we loved both resorts we stayed at. If only we could travel to the Grand Wailea every year… that would be a dream come true. Anyway, if you plan on visiting Kauai or Maui soon, check out the excursions above, you won’t regret booking any of them!
